The Punisher comes to Daredevil!

MARVEL just announced that The Punisher is coming to Hell’s Kitchen in Season 2 of Daredevil!

Our Punisher is non other then The Walking Dead’s Shane, Jon Bernthal.

He’s the 4th actor to take over the roll of Frank Castle. First was Dolph Lundgren, no Skull though. Second we got Thomas Jane, who I think was the best Frank Castle Punisher. He also did a great short film called #DirtyLaundry. It’s on YouTube so go check that out, it’s produced by the same people who made the POWER/RANGER fan film. The third Punisher we got was Ray Stevenson, yes he looked liked The Punisher but not Frank Castle. Punisher: War Zone was the bloody violent version of Batman and Robin.

Since then the rights of Punisher have gone back to MARVEL and the MCU, and rumors of him appearing in a movie have been going around for a while. The Russo Brothers, the directors of Captain America: The Winter Solider, stated in a interview,

“The man who drives that truck,” Joe deadpans, joking that the driver is a candidate for a future Marvel One-Shot, “Is very highly trained. He thinks on his own terms. He’s got a plan and a very specific skill set.”

So everyone speculated that they were talking about The Punisher. In the MARVEL One-Shots “Hail to the King” two named of characters from the Punisher’s universe were on the prison walls.

So with the massive hit that Netflix’s Daredevil was news was going around about who will be in season 2. First we got rumors of Jason Statham playing Bullseye. However that may or not be true, we got the conformation that The Punisher is in season 2.

Jon Bernthal in my opinion will make a great Punisher. He played crazy so good on The Walking Dead, and in films like FURY and The Wolf of Wallstreet you can see his versatility. Now the big question is, what will he look like? Will he have the trench coat? Will he be packing a lot of body ammo and gear? Will Microship make an appearance?

This also now opens the door to not only having The Punisher’s villains like Jigsaw and Barracuda on Season 2. But also have the Punisher get his own Netflix show. Ether way, having Frank Castle on Daredevil fits the feel of the show so well!

I wasn’t totally blown away by the first season, but hearing this news I;m excited to see what all they bring to the table on season 2!

Last Action Hero REMAKE IDEA!

The film starts Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as himself and the fictional character in the movie.

The Main bad guy could be played by Sean Bean, Liam Leeson, or Gary Oldman.

Just like the original film the story will be about a boy who’s favorite movie star is The Rock.

In the new story though the kid’s dad owns a movie theater, but because of VOD people are not going to the movies. The Rock’s new movie is premiering and his dad tells his son that if he finishes all his work early he can see the film early.

Now in the original film the boy got the ticket that transport him in the movie by the old man who ran the theater, saying he got it from Houdini. Well in the remake I would have it where the kid gets the ticket from the master of Street Magic himself David Blaine. He’s doing his street magic when the boy and his friends encounter him. He asks the boy  what his favorite thing to do is. The boy tells him that he’s a huge movie fan, and wishes his life was like a movie.

So Davis Blaine gives him a gold ticket, and tells the boy that next time he goes to the movies to break the ticket and he will get what he wishes.

So the boy see’s the new Rock film in a private screening, and tears the ticket. He then gets transported in the film.

We then get some of the same movie trope as the original, with poking fun at some of the themes in action movies of today like Fast and Furious, Mission Impossible, and any Liam Neeson movie.

Like I said before, the main villain could be any of the names I listed above.

I think that if the film is done silly and fun it could work today.
