“Kindergarten Cop 2: Just Cause” Trailer Review

Ivan Reitman’s comedy Kindergarten Cop has become a classic Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy. With lines that still get quoted today, “Who is your daddy, and what does he do?” “Shut uuuuup!”, “It’s not a tumor!”

So now 26 years later we got another sequel to a Schwarzenegger that no one asked for. However much like Jingle All the Way, Arnold did not return. Instead we get He-Man himself Dolph Lundgren! Yep  that’s right, this Chemical Engineer who has stared in about 5 films you can remember is the new Kindergarten Cop!

The director of this film is not a stranger to directing sequels. He’s directed Tremors 5: Bloodlines, Sniper: Legacy, Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, and Lake Placid: The Final Chapter. All gems. The writer also wrote American Pie 2, The Book of Love, and also the canceled Pork’s remake. Great job Universal Pictures!

Then they give him a Chis Tucker like sidekick. The plot has similar elements to the original. With Dolph playing a cop who goes undercover as  teacher. Though in the original you have this story about a bad guy that has connections to one of the students, Big Mommy House stole that idea by the way. In this film its a finding a missing hard drive…exciting!

Much like how Zoolander No.2 and Dumb and Dumber Too arrived late to the sequel party, Kindergarden Cop 2 was never sent an invitation but showed up anyways. There’s a reason this sequel to a very funny comedy is going strait to Blu-ray, why a studio like Universal would green light this scares me. What a waste of time for everyone involved, I can’t wait to see what this movie makes in sales.

“JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2” Why and What?

If you grew up in the 90’s you remember the Christmas cult film JINGLE ALL THE WAY starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad.

The story of two dad’s out to find a TURBO MAN action-figure, and struggle and fight to find it. Was this a great film? No, but it was a fun 90’s family film that also introduced Jake Lloyd aka Anakin Skywalker.

Well after 18 years the WWF and 20th Century Fox have teamed up to make a sequel which its only connection to the original is that its about a dad trying to find a toy for his kid. So who did they cast in this sequel no one wanted or asked for? Non other then that fake redneck himself Daniel Whitney aka Larry the Cable Guy.

Larry plays a dad who’s looking for a teddy bear for his daughter, but its sold out. So he goes looking for it, but his daughters EVIL stepfather doesn’t want that to happen so tries to stop him. FUNNY RIGHT?

This trailer is obviously just a teaser and looks more like a rip off of Christmas Vacation, a bad rip off.

Alex Zimmer the director of this film as directed such sequel jems as:

Inspector Gadget 2

Dr. Dolittle: Million Dollar Mutts

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2

Tooth Fairy 2 (which also starred Larry)

and The Little Rascals Save The Day

I’m surprised he didn’t direct the Christmas Story sequel. Which was another sequel non of us asked for.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY is just one of those guilty pleasure films and also a classic 90’s Arnold film. This sequel is just another line of bad movies the WWF is producing. Don’t believe me, go check out LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS.

“Terminator Genisys” will it be good?

So Entertainment Weekly was released the covers for their new issue that shows us the cast of Terminator Genisys.

MATT-JASON-EW-1336 EMILIA-JAI-EW-1336 Sarah-Connor Jason-Clarke TerminatorGenisys4 _1414701488 terminator5-firstlook-arnoldshotgun-full

Now I like the first two TERMINATOR films, the 3rd one seemed a bit forced, and I never saw the one with Christian Bale or the TV series. Although TERMINATOR: SALVATION gave us a really cool video shoot’em up game, and that hilarious Bale Rant!

However the big question is will this new reboot/sequel/prequel/alternate universe film be any good. Many have already dismissed this film and have already decided its going to be bad. The creator of this franchise can care less though. James Cameron said in an interview about the franchise,

“It’s not my problem! It’s like being a grandparent, the kids come over and you can send them back! When I walked away from the franchise, I had to do it with the sense that I can invest in emotion. To me, it’s all upside, because if it’s good, it’s good for Arnold [Schwarzenegger], my friend Laeta [Kalogridis] and if it’s not good? It doesn’t bother me personally.”

So pretty much the same response John Carpenter gave Rob Zombie about the HALLOWEEN reboot.

A possible plot for the film was leaked on the internet a while back that states that in the new film Sara Connor will be an orphan who’s parents where killed by a TERMINATOR and that Arnold is a TERMINATOR also sent from the future but he was program to take care of Sara Connor rather then killer her. So he raises her and Sara calls the cyborg “Pop”. So then what’s gonna happen next? Are we gonna get two films in one film? One being Sara Connor and the TERMINATOR living together on the road, then Kyle Reese comes to the past to save her or something? The other story being the future where John Connor, Kyle Reese and Dr. Who Matt Smith are fighting robots? My fear is that its going to get confusing.

Here’s what I speculate what will happen.

Matt Smith is the bad guy and he wants to kill Sara Connor. Maybe he’s working with the TERMINATORS so save himself, or he’s a cyborg. So John Connor sends Kyle Reese to the past to save his mother, that’s when he finds her and the TERMINATOR.

Cameron actually explained how Arnold’s TERMINATOR could look old. That the skin the TERMINATOR has is similar to human skin so it can age, which his inside staying the same. So I guess that makes sense.

Honestly this sounds more like a TV series then a film. I’m afraid that the film will just be so complex that it will lose people, and the studio a lot of money.

I guess we will see if this franchise will BE BACK as a hit or not next summer.
